WELCOME TO THE HOMEPAGE OF VENICE WAVE TRACK AND XC.
Venice Wave Track and XC is a youth running team which is registered with the AAU and exists to provide running opportunities and training to youth runners 2nd grade through High School. If you are interested in competitive tack and field, cross country (XC) or road racing, you may want to join us as we pursue to glorify God through the development of the gifts He has given us.
Venice Wave Track and XC is a Christian youth organization and all of its members must adhere to a moral code of conduct to remain in good standing. Moreover, prayer is a vital part of our lives, practices and races as we seek to do all things through Him who strengthens us. COST: Venice Wave Track and XC is only $35.00 per year, which covers the cost of uniforms and admin fees. The parents are responsible for all fees associated with races/meets, AAU membership and lodging. Practice is held twice per week and three meets/races per year are mandatory, unless the athlete is listed in a training status. AAU membership is mandatory.
ABOUT THE COACHES: Coach Jeff is a registered Sprints and Relays Coach through the U.S. Track and Field Coaches Association and in 2002, took 3rd in the Masters Track and Field National Championship in the Pentathlon (long jump/javelin/200m/discus/1500m). Coach Jenny is a well decorated runner, having qualified for and competed in the Boston Marathon twice. She was also ranked consistently in the top twenty in the nation by USA Triathlon, having finished in the top ten in the U.S. National Championships in 2001 and 2002, as well as being a NCAA college swimmer and a member of the Team USA Triathlon world championship team.
